In my semiotics class , Senior Year at DePaul, I was assigned the challenge of creating a set of way finding graphics for a venue or event. Growing up in Chicago, Lollapalooza was always a huge weekend for me and I have numerous great memories from the festival, so I chose to rebrand their graphics for this assignment.
I wanted to capture the feel of the event while also going in my own unique design direction. For the theme behind these graphics, I went with a sort of 70s hippy/flower power theme. I created a series of cartoon looking flowers and put them around bright, colorful, psychedelic colors - acting as consistent decorative elements through out the graphics.
This project includes a main graphic, a map with icons, two signs, and a mobile interactive layout.
