For a final project in my publication design class senior year, we were assigned with task of recreating an old middle school year book into a scrolling mobile layout/article. This project was entirely built using Figma, and emphasized strongly on utilization of a grid system and a unified design scheme.
This was a very interesting project for me as I had never really worked in such a vertical heavy format like this. I used my Dad's 8th grad yearbook for the project, and decided to work it into a 70's influenced theme, with a strictly red white and black color scheme, as these were the middle schools main colors.
Overall I was very happy with how this project turned out. I think the severely restricted color scheme really adds to the design, and the whole thing feels like it flows very naturally which was an important part of it for me.
