In my senior year typographic projects class, we spent the 10 week fall quarter developing an exhibition project that investigated a certain topic of typography that interests us. Music, rap in particular, has always been a big part of my life. This combined with my interest for 90's design themes resulted in the following project.
For this project, we had to create a full booklet and microsite that showcased our research work and incorporated the design themes that we were exploring. I analyzed typographic trends in 90s Hip-Hop album covers, so I tried to showcase the album covers as the first priority, and let my text and 90's design elements fill in the rest.
